What data we process
Pawchrom has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. The app and the extension do not ask for your name or email. Pictures and videos are filtered on your device and never leave it. We only process data on our server if you buy Pro or enter a Pro code, as explained below.
Pro licence: what our server stores
The Pro code; for Google Play purchases, a SHA-256 hash of the purchase token and the order number (GPA.…); for website purchases, the Stripe order number and a salted hash of your email; the random installation ID of the device where the code is active (a random code created by the app or the extension, not a hardware identifier); the platform (Android or Chrome) and a short label such as “Chrome · Windows”; activation and check dates; and the number of device changes. To limit abuse attempts we keep a salted hash of your IP address, which is deleted after 24 hours. We do not store your name, payment details or anything you browse.
Purposes and legal basis
We use this data to give you Pro on your devices, send you the code, check that it is active on only one device at a time, prevent sharing and abuse, handle refunds and answer your requests. The legal basis is the performance of the contract you accept when you buy (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for rate limiting and security, our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Website purchases
If you buy Pawchrom Pro on our website, payment is handled by Stripe, which acts as the seller (Merchant of Record) and processes your payment and billing data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy (https://stripe.com/privacy). We only receive your email and order number from Stripe, and use them solely to email you the Pro code through Resend. After sending it we do not keep your email: only a salted hash, to find your order if you ask us for help.
Processors and international transfers
These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements: Cloudflare, Inc. (licence server and website) and Resend, Inc. (sending the email with your code). Both may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States; these transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and by their certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. To verify purchases and detect refunds, our server queries Google Play and Stripe.
How long we keep it
Licence data (including the email hash) is kept for as long as the licence exists and, after that, only as long as needed to meet legal obligations or handle claims. Your email is not kept after the code is sent. The IP hash is deleted after 24 hours. You can ask us to delete your licence data at any time by writing to support@pawchrom.com. Once deleted, the Pro code stops working; the unlock on the phone where you bought on Google Play stays active.
Google Play purchases
Payments are handled by Google Play. We never receive your payment details. To confirm a purchase, the app sends our server the purchase token and the order number, and the server verifies them with Google Play.
Browser extension
This policy also covers the Pawchrom browser extension. The extension needs access to the pages you visit only to find videos and filter them on your computer. Video frames are processed locally by your graphics card and are never sent or stored. We do not collect your browsing history, the addresses you visit or page content. The extension only connects to our licence server (api.pawchrom.com) to activate and check a Pro code. The use of information received by the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our website
The Pawchrom website uses no cookies and no analytics. It only stores the language you choose in your browser. As with any website, Cloudflare receives your IP address to serve the pages.
What is stored on your device
Your preferences (language, mode and settings), the trial time used, the random installation ID and, if you have one, your Pro code. They stay on your phone or browser and are deleted when you uninstall the app or the extension or clear its data.
Permissions
Pawchrom does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, location or contacts. The Android app uses the internet only for purchases and the Pro code. Photos and videos that you open in the app are processed on your phone and are never uploaded.
Your rights
You can ask us for access, rectification or erasure of your data, and other GDPR rights (objection, restriction, portability), by writing to support@pawchrom.com. Please include your Pro code, Google Play order number or the email you used to buy on the website so we can find your data. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.
Children
Pawchrom is meant for adults with pets. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
